SD31 DFL Caucus and Meetings: 2025 December

At this holiday time, we are thankful for the string of Progressive victories across the country in the November elections. Caucuses are on February 3. Watch for more info. SD31 will have 3 caucus sites: in Ramsey, Andover, and the northern communities.

SD31 DFL This Week: No Kings, No Tyrants, No Dictators … SO VOTE SOON!

Maybe we are seeing a turning point! Some historians report that when 2% or more of the people get out in the streets, it changes the course of things. So THANKS to all of you who marched in the NO KINGS event on Oct 18, and please keep marching!

Early Voting Has Started! – Oct 2, 2025

The biggest local political event of this year is the upcoming election for school board. EARLY VOTING HAS STARTED, so you can already cast your ballot. But also remind your like-minded friends to get out and vote. Too many progressives vote reliably in presidential and congressional elections, but do not vote in local elections such as school board. We need a big turnout this year to avoid having school boards that enact MAGA type restrictions, destructions, hatred and chaos.

SD31 DFL Newsletter on FREE SPEECH, Sept 22, 2025

Greetings, DFL Friends–
As almost everyone knows, free speech is now under direct attack in the US. We are sending around a
couple of comments by right wingers this past week to show that this is not just a concern of “Far Left
Radicals.” Let’s keep sharing those voices on the Right (as well as others!) who see Free Speech and
other rights as American values, not political weapons for a dictator. Maybe Tom Emmer needs to hear
some of what Carlson and Hawley have to say.
Also: Consider stopping subscriptions with media companies that cave to the pressures to end free
speech. We need to show that the First Amendment is at least as important as the Second– and truly
the bedrock of all our other freedoms.
Then below we have links to upcoming events.

SD31 DFL News — September 15, 2025
