A growing number of school board members want Minnesota to reverse its transgender athlete policy. More than 150 school board members have signed a letter calling on the state to comply with a federal mandate that forbids transgender athletes from competing in high school girls sports.

The biggest local political event of this year is the upcoming election for school board. EARLY VOTING HAS STARTED, so you can already cast your ballot. But also remind your like-minded friends to get out and vote. Too many progressives vote reliably in presidential and congressional elections, but do not vote in local elections such as school board. We need a big turnout this year to avoid having school boards that enact MAGA type restrictions, destructions, hatred and chaos.
